Five Ideas to Fight Cabin Fever

Here's the scene: It's your Friday night sleepover, you're low on bucks but still wanna have fun with your friends despite the fuh-reezing temps? Ugh, stuck inside with a rented DVD, again?!
GL to the rescue! We've got five super ideas to try at your next overnighter.
You'll be having fun for free in no time.

Indoor Picnic Adventure

Pack some treats, spread out a blanket and set up a make-shift picnic that you can have in the comfort of your own cozy living room! It's the perfect place to sit and gab with your girls. Wow your pals with some home-made winter foods, like hot chocolate, roasted marshmallows, and fun holiday cookies (go gaga for these Gingerbread men or try out this delish Chocolate Tart) It’s a good excuse to keep celebrating the holidays, too.

Build a Time Capsule

There’s nothing like kicking back and remembering the good stuff with your fave gals. Go pro and honor your memories the right way with a time capsule. Have the besties bring one thing that reminds them of your friendships (it can be a pic, a lucky charm, or a movie stub from a flick you all saw together). Write a little note to accompany the keepsake and secure them all in a box. Tape it up tight and set a time for when you'll all get together again to open it. Whether it's at the end of the school year or 20 years from now, you'll have a great time opening the capsule and remembering the past!

Tell a Tall Tale

Use your imaginations to come up with a crazy story that will have you all LOL-ing. Sit in a circle and start off the tale by saying one word. Have the girl next to you say your word, then add one of her own. The chick next to her then has to say both words plus her own. Keep it up around the circle and the first one to miss a word or get stumped is the one who starts up the next tale. You’ll be rolling on the floor with all of the ridic stories your chicas come up with when they’re on the spot!

Rock Out With Your Own Routine

With all the catchy jams out now it’s hard not to keep your toes a-tapping. Bust out some tunes and create a dance routine to your fave tune. You’ll have a blast mapping out the moves and you'll feel super-creative! Plus, dancing is a great winter workout. Even cuter? Create your own cuh-razy costumes a la some more avant-garde artists like Lady Gaga and Katy Perry. Perform for each other or a crowd and get ready for the standing ovations!

Add some color

Go old-school and bust out the coloring books! Have fun with one of the best pastimes and pop in a fave movie to watch in the background. You’ll pass the time and have some pretty groovy artwork to send your chicks home with! Take it up a notch by trying your creative hands out with a few crafts from GL!  Get stylin' in a Scarfed Potatoes Scarf or get ready to go back to class by beautifully binding up your books in Bubble Wrap Paper.
