A Day in the Life of a GL Intern: My First Day at Girls' Life!

Yeah, I trekked here in a snowstorm my first day!
Hey dolls! My name is Tyler and I’m a brand-new intern at GL. It’s my first time interning here but the magazine definitely isn’t new to me.
I started reading GL when I was eight-years-old, (back when the cover still said Girls’ Life instead of GL!) and fell in love with it. I was always ecstatic when a new issue came in the mail and had to read it right away.
Girls' Life really helped me deal with the things we all go through while we’re growing up, from boys and body changes to periods and peer pressure. Now, I’ve gone from reading GL to interning at GL and it has been a great experience so far.
Right now one of my main duties is moderating the comments on the website, which is really fun. I’m happy to answer any questions you girls have, especially ones dealing with fashion. So feel free to ask me questions or for advice. I also help Cait, the intern coordinator, and the editors with any projects they’re working on. They are all extremely friendly, fun, and make working here even more amazing.
First time modding!

I am currently a sophomore at the University of Maryland, College Park and will be pursuing a degree in Communication.  I aspire to become a fashion editor, so I plan to learn a lot from all the lovely ladies here at GL. As an avid magazine reader, it is so exciting to see all that goes into producing one. And on my first day, I was asked for my opinion on which cover to use on an upcoming issue. It’s really cool that, even though I was a new intern, my input mattered. I’ll be sure to keep you posted on all the fantastic experiences I have here at GL.
