Juno McGuff is the outspoken and totally smart-mouthed center of film phenomenon, Juno. She’s cool and smart—the kind of girl you could be friends with. When she finds out she’s pregnant, you feel her angst and pain, yet appreciate her outlook on life.
Canadian actress Ellen Page dazzles as a quick-witted, sarcastic teen who finds herself in a very difficult position. Teen pregnancy is obviously a very serious topic, but Juno addresses it with heart, style and a sense of humor, without oversimplifying the issue. Thankfully, most teens to not end up in the same sitch as Juno, but viewers can still relate as she battles gossip, competes for her true love's heart and deals with her uber-wacky family at home.
Finally, movie critics and high-schoolers have something in common: everybody loves Juno! In fact, the film received a Best Picture nod at the Academy Awards and took home the trophy for Best Original Screenplay. And now, it's coming to DVD. The PG-13 flick is out April 15. So didya catch it when it was in theaters? Or are you gonna check it out? Let us know!
