Nastia soared onto the silver screen in
Stick It. She wowed us—and the judges—in Beijing with her way-graceful gymnastics. Her total Olympic haul? One gold, three silver and a bronze. Now, she’s a college freshman and one of the new faces for CoverGirl. Yep, this girl is all-around gold.
GL: After such tough competition, how do you feel about doing a more fun exhibition, like the Tour of Gymnastics Superstars?
Nastia: There’s no pressure so it’s SO much fun! But once it’s over—I’m back to school (Nastia’s a freshman at Southern Methodist University where she’s studying international business
GL: What will it be like when you get to the hometown crowd?
NL: I can’t wait to go home, see my friends and have a big get-together!
GL: What’s your favorite kind of music to perform to?
NL: I would love to perform to my favorite song Supergirl by Saving Jane, but there are restrictions on using songs with lyrics.
GL: Did you bring a book with you to Beijing?
NL: I read Twilight while I was here.
GL: What jewelry do you wear when competing?
NL: I just wear earrings.
GL: I loved Stick It! Will you pursue acting?
NL: I would love to! I haven’t had much time for acting because I have been focusing on gymnastics.
