How can I get a nice tan without damaging my skin?
I hate to break it to ya, girlie, but the only safe tan is a
fake tan. “Real” tanning, whether you get it while sitting in the sun or lying
in a tanning bed, damages your skin even if you slather on the sunscreen. That
can cause bad burns, wrinkles, sun spots and even cancer. Who wants that? Not
us!
To get a healthy, sun-kissed glow, try using bronzer during
the early spring months and a sunless tanning lotion as summer creeps closer. The
Jergens Natural Glow line is our top product pick, and comes in a variety of
formulas depending upon your skin tone.
One more thing before I sign off: To keep your skin fresh
and young, you should always wear sunscreen on your face and body. Even if it’s
cloudy, your skin can still be damaged by UV rays sneaking through the
atmosphere. And from one porcelain princess to all the others out there: Pale
is pretty! Embrace your skin tone, sweeties.
