The world is pulling together to aid Japan.
Just one week ago, the country was devastated by an
earthquake and tsunami. Here in sunny Baltimore, we’re far away from the ongoing
tragedy, but that doesn’t mean we aren’t feeling the aftershocks. The
images—and the stories—continue to pour in.
You’ve told us about your family members and friends in Japan.
Contributing writer Alyssa B. has a brother there who’s currently teaching
English. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who was affected by the
disaster, and we’re doing what we
can to provide relief.
Founding Editor Karen B. donated money on iTunes. Fashion Assistant Jessica D. texted her donation
to the Red Cross. Senior Editor
Katie A. bought a LivingSocial
deal that matched her donation. Advertising Assistant Mary M. is buying a GroupOn donation. Associate Editor Trish M. is shopping on Forever21.com right now—100 percent of her purchase will go to
relief.
All week, we’ve been providing you with ways to help.
Here they are once again:
