She may currently be killing it on the big screen in
Scream
4, but
Emma Roberts will be tackling a much different role this summer. The
20-year-old cutie is teaming up with 19-year-old British babe
Freddie Highmore in
Fox Searchlight’s
The Art of Getting By, set to hit theaters nationally this
July.
An official selection of the Sundance Film Festival, the two
star as Sally and George in this indie romdram, which focuses on a high school
senior who must make up a year’s worth of assignments in two weeks to not only
graduate, but hopefully snag his crush.
“Sally is not made out to be the nice girl and she’s not
made out to be the bad girl,” Emma recently shared with us about her summer
role. “She’s a real girl. There are times where you think she’s being a little
mean, or being too nice. But people aren’t usually black or white, they’re a
mixture of the two.”
