Don’t wanna eat your veggies? Drink ’em! “You need five fruit and veggie servings a day, and drinking them is a great option,” says health guru Kris Carr. This vitamin-rich veggie smoothie is sweet and tasty, but still packs a major nutritional punch.
Super Green Smoothie Recipe
Ready to get your blend on? Kris’ recipe makes enough for two servings so you can have this scrumptious snack twice a day. Don’t be afraid to play around with the ingredients to match your taste.
1 avocado • 1-2 green apples or ripe pears • 1 cucumber • 1 cup of kale, romaine or spinach • 1 cup coconut water (or purified water) • Stevia to taste (it’s a natural sweetener—find it at the grocery store) • A sprinkle of cinnamon (optional, but yummy)
Peel and cut the veggies. Cut all of the fruit into 1-inch pieces . Pop all of the ingredients in a blender and whirl until smooth. Drink up, buttercup.
