Lately, I have noticed some sweat "down there"
and I am wondering if it is normal. One day I had a whole bunch in my
underpants and it smelled really bad, too. Any advice?
Before you do anything about this sitch you should figure
out if you are experiencing sweat or discharge. Discharge will be thicker and
stay in your undies. If you have smelly discharge it is best to see your doctor
and have him/her make sure that you don't have bacteria going on.
The reason you are sweating down is because of all the sweat
glands found in that area. Down there is very similar to your armpits in this
way. Most of the time heavy sweating down there is normal, especially after a
workout, but once in a while it can be a clue that you are sick and should see
a doc.
If nothing is medically wrong and you still have excessive
sweat down there you can try some different ideas. First, make sure that your
underwear is %100 cotton. Many synthetic fibers, like polyester, can trap heat
and moisture. Check out underwear made for working out (like Lululemon or Under
Armor) that wicks moisture away from the body. When you’re finished working
out, be sure to change your undies and rinse off well.
