One day I came home from school and I was wearing a pair
of skinny jeans. My mom told me to change. I had a lot of homework to do, so I
didn't. She told me later that if I didn't change into something less tight, I
would get a vagina infection. Is that true?
Your mom is right about this one, babe. Our generation’s
penchant for increasingly tight pants has also increased the likelihood that
you could get a yeast infection down there. Why? Well, think about it this way:
The tighter your clothes fit, the less able your vagina becomes to “air out”.
That allows the good bacteria to multiply way too fast, causing not-so-good
things to happen.
While wearing your skinnies to school probably won’t hurt
ya, it’s a good idea to change up your look from day to day, and to change into
looser-fitting clothes when you get the chance.
