I’ve got a confession: I’m probably the only writer who has
absolutely no ambition to write a novel. That being said, I’m dusting off a
notebook this November and putting pen to paper. Not necessarily to write a
whole book, mind you, but in the spirit
NaNoWriMo—that’s National Novel Writing Month to you—I’ve decided it’s time to
get the creative juices flowing.
Whether you want to be the youngest published novelist ever
or simply are aching to tell the world a story, short or long, GL is daring YOU
to partake in NaNoWriMo this month. You can write a pile of words…or just one.
We don’t care! We just want you to start thinking creatively.
Log on to to ywp.nanowrimo.org and check out the Young
Writer’s Program. They’ve got tons of prompts and writing challenges to get ya
started, expert pep talkers if ya get stuck and safe, moderated forums
that’ll allow you to chat with other young writers and mentors.
Are you gonna write this month? Talk it out!
