TV
addicts, rejoice! We’ve watched all of the fall series premieres
and have (finally!) narrowed down our list of new guilty pleasures.
Sit back, relax, and get your remote ready. You’ll be totally
hooked if you aren’t already.
Hart
of Dixie
Rachel
Bilson’s back as Dr. Zoe Hart, a surgeon from NYC who accepts an
offer to work in a small medical practice in Bluebell, Alabama. Zoe’s
out of her element in the south and considers moving back north…until
making friends with NFL star-turned-mayor Lavon Hayes (Cress
Williams), the cute bad guy-next-door Wade Kinsella (Wilson Bethel),
and southern belle Lemon’s fiancé George Tucker (Scott Porter).
WHAT
WE LOVE: The clothes (this
is a Rachel Bilson show, after all!), the music (we love country!)
and the fact that it always gives us something to talk about on
Tuesday mornings.
The
X Factor
Brits
seem to instinctively have music in their blood (The Beatles? The
Rolling Stones? Adele?) and we can’t help but dig this latest
import. Judges L.A. Reid, Nicole Scherzinger, Paula Abdul and Simon
Cowell help aspiring singers become superstars.
WHAT
WE LOVE: Anyone as young as
12 years old can audition,
and bands are on the show,
too! The process is way different than American
Idol: contestants must
survive auditions and a grueling performance boot camp, then trek to
an assigned judge’s house to pick the contestants they think have
the best chance of winning a live show. That’s where we, the
audience comes in. The judges coach their contestants, and America
decides who wins the largest prize in TV history: a $5 million
recording contract and the glory of having The
X Factor!
Jessie
Debby
Ryan proves she can handle being a leading lady as Jessie, a
small-town Texas girl who scores big laughs during her nannying
antics for a rich family with a Jolie-Pitt like brood.
WHAT
WE LOVE: You can watch
Jessie with
your little sis or on your own as a guilty pleasure.
The
Secret Circle
When
16-year-old Cassie Blake (Britt Robertson) moves in with her
grandmother in Chance Harbor, Washington after her mom dies, her new
friends tell her they are all descendants of powerful witches—and
that she is, too! Cassie thinks they’re totally cray-cray until she
discovers a message from her mother in a book of spells. What The
Secret Circle doesn’t know is that the adults in town have dark
secret powers. And the death of Cassie’s mother might not have been
such an accident after all.
WHAT
WE LOVE: Not only will you
be totally sucked into the magic of Chance Harbor, but the show keeps
us on the edge of our seats. Don’t believe us? One of the main
characters has already died.
Which
new fall TV series are you totally digging? Blog about it, babes.
