I am too short, and everybody calls me “Shrimp.” I try to
eat healthful food, but it doesn’t seem to help at all. Any suggestions? –
Shorty
I am too tall and look older than I am. I have started my
period, and the other girls in my class haven’t. Guys in my class act as if
they’re scared of me or something. – Too Tall
Dear Short and Tall,
You’re both fine the way you are. Work on accepting your
height because you can’t change it. And remember, everyone grows at their own
pace. Eventually, short kids stretch a few inches, and tall girls stop growing.
I know it’s hard when girls and boys grown at such different rates, but just
hang in there! Puberty requires patience.
