There is this really sweet, funny,
and cute guy who I kind of like. I think he may like me back.
Sometimes though he acts immature. Should I look for a different guy
or take a chance on him?
You’ve probably heard that boys
mature more slowly than girls, and it couldn’t be truer. At this
age, it’s tough to find guys that aren’t immature, but
before you date one, you have to ask yourself how much you can take.
If you can deal with his immaturity and
laugh at his sense of humor, then you should totally go for it. Lots
of guys who act immature in public are just putting on a front for
their friends, so he might be a different person when it’s just the
two of you. But don’t expect him to automatically turn into Prince
Charming. If you’re gonna give him a chance, you have to accept him
for who he is.
On the other hand, if you think his
immaturity is too annoying to handle, but you date him anyway, you’ll
end up resenting him more than you like him. So figure out if it’s
worth it to you, and then decide if you want to date him.
