There are two things we're obsessed
with right now at GLHQ: nail art and the Baltimore Ravens. It's
kinda hard not being infatuated with the latter when we're based in
Baltimore and our beloved team has a playoff game this Sunday. To
flaunt my
purple pride, I chose a Raven-fied half moon mani to tie in
my love of the Roaring 20s revival and Ray Lewis, natch. Here's the
play-by-play on landing this trendy tip design:
1. Paint the main color first. Let
dry.
2. Using a nail pen or a fine brush,
create a mini arch at the base of your nail. Let dry.
3. Cover with top coat. Voilà!
If you don't have a steady hand or nail
pen, use hole reinforcements at the base of the nail. (Note: Make it
less adhesive by sticking on your skin first, or else it will rip off
the polish. Learned that one the hard way!)
And! I've decided to do a purple mani
each week we're in the playoffs. Even if you're not rooting for the
Ravens, you will to want to see what I have in store ahead. Promise!
