Not
so sure what unpronounceable chemicals are lurking in that drugstore mascara
that you swipe on each morning before school? Makeup companies have been known
to include ingredients that could be potentially harmful to your skin and face,
and we’re none the wiser. But hopefully, that’s all about to change, as the
U.S. Food & Drug Administration will finally begin to add beauty products
to its list of monitored food and medicines.
According
to Emily Orofino from
refinery29.com, Europe has banned over 1,200 substances from beauty products,
while the U.S. has limited only a shocking 10. Once the FDA begins to employ
restrictions on makeup, the quality of beauty products should greatly improve
and be much better for your skin and overall health.
Blog
it out, babes. Do you think the FDA is a little late on the action?
