I am the girl that doesn't get along with girls. I have almost all
guy friends. I love that, but on Twitter the other day my BGF/crush
tweeted "#WeWontWorkOutIf all your best friends are guys..." I asked
"Why is that?" and he said "Why isn't that? That's how all guys feel."
One of my only girlfriends has told me that is why I don't have a
boyfriend. Is that true?
His answer: "It is a little intimidating when the girl is constantly
surrounded by boys," says Zach, 14, "it seems a bit threatening."
Decoded: For some guys, dating a girl who is always with a big group
of dudes can be a bit of a turn off. Other guys are always seen as a
possible threat to their relationship so when a girl is always with them
it can be a bit intimidating.
Your move: Don't change who you are for a guy! Find someone who is
okay with your friends and accepts that you are just a guys' girl.
Making a few girlfriends can never hurt when it comes to gushing about
your crush, though. Let your BGF know that you like him and maybe he
will reconsider when he knows that his own friends will not be a
threat.
