HELP! My BF and I have been dating for almost two months,
(we are in junior high) and honestly… I love him. He has told me he loves me as
well. I know the chances of our relationship lasting are slim, but I really do
think he could be the one, and I know he feels the same way. Recently his
parents have been thinking of moving across the country! I don't know how I
would be able to deal with his moving. I know long distance relationships don't
usually work out, but should we try?
Hey girl! Being in love is a great feeling and your
boyfriend sounds like he is a really nice guy. With that said, long distance
relationships are tough – especially when you’re in different time zones. It is
possible to work it out if you two are make a point to stay in communication (Skype
is a lifesaver for cross-country couples), and know what to expect from each
other. Are you willing to put in that time and effort?
The fact that you doubt that you can deal with his moving, not just the distance,
raises a red flag. I think you know in your heart that it wouldn’t work since
you are aware that the chances of it lasting are slim. If your BF moves just
let him go and be free. If he is really “the one” the two of you will meet
again some day.
