I wrote a
poem about my crush, who is also my friend. My friends think it’s great, but I
want to know how guys react to poetry. It’s not mushy-gushy, but I don’t want
him to be freaked.
Bill: How do guys love poetry?
Let me count the ways. Getting a poem is like hugging your mom. You can
appreciate it—just not in front of your friends.
Dave: Resisting the temptation to
answer in haiku, I’ll suggest tucking away the poem
unless things progress a bit further. This guy is your friend, and you don’t
want to freak him out with verse. Give it some time.
