Dying for a new BTS wardrobe but don’t have the budget to
back your wishlist? Host a back-to-school clothing swap with your crew and
score a new first-day outfit, no cash required. Here’s how:
Throw it…
A couple weeks before school starts.
Get it…
Go through your closet and sort any clothes, accessories and
shoes that either don’t fit or you haven’t worn in over a year. (Be sure to
double check with your ‘rents before ya swap anything!) Ask your buds to bring over
their own cute castoffs in advance, then get ready to trade! Anything left over
can be donated to Goodwill the next day.
Do it…
Transform your living room into a chic boutique by neatly
arranging the outfits: Stack sweaters, tees and jeans on a bookshelf, and lay
jewelry and accessories on the dining room table.
Eat it…
Serve trays of sweet baked goods and refreshing sips. We
love fashion-forward sugar cookies paired with fizzy lemonade spritzers.
Gift it…
Present guests with colorful reusable totes—a perfect way to
stash their fabulous new (to them!) finds.
