My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year. Last
September he went camping and one of his childhood friends who happened to be a
girl was there. A few weeks after he got back she friended me on Facebook and
was posting a bunch of stuff about him. Long story short, she told me that he
cheated on me with her, but when I asked him what they did he said that they
hugged and that was it.
One day when we were on the phone he asked if I would
be mad if he ever kissed anyone else while we were dating and I thought that
was a little suspicious. This has driven me crazy ever since the day I found
out. How do I get the real story?
Hmm that does sound suspicious. Either she made up the story for attention, or he's covering his butt. Both are plausible, but the odds aren't looking too good for your guy with that hypothetical kiss question. The problem is you
can’t strap your BF to a lie detector test to guarantee that he’s telling the
truth. Though that would certainly make this situation easier!
Sadly, since you didn’t see for yourself, you can never be
fully sure that you got the real story. But the bottom line is you need a
boyfriend that you can trust. If you stay with your BF, are you always going to
wonder if he’s telling the truth? Will you continue worrying about whether or
not he’s cheating on you with someone else? If you’re being driven crazy, then
is this relationship really worth all that stress? If you feel like you can’t trust
him, it may be better to fly solo. Go
with your gut on this mind-boggler.
