My boyfriend is kind of popular, and he gets invited
and goes to a lot of house parties. I'm not really into going to house parties,
because I'm just not comfortable being there with all of the popular people.
What do I say if he asks me to one?
Girl, I completely understand how frustrating that is!
Ask him if he wants to have a date night, where it’s just you two. You guys
could go to the movies, dinner or even hang out at his or your house! This way,
not only are you avoiding an uncomfortable situation, you get to spend more
time with your BF.
Date night may not work every night though. He seems to be
the type of guy who needs to balance his friends and his girlfriend. One option
is to try to go to one of the parties he gets invited to. Who knows, you could
really enjoy yourself and make new friends! It doesn’t hurt to try! Another
option is to talk to him and tell him your situation. You guys could make a
plan to dedicate every Friday night for each other and every Saturday night for
friends.
Whatever works at the end, he should like you for who you
are. Even if that means you aren’t as popular as he is. Remember that in a
relationship, both of you guys need to make sacrifices for each other. I’m sure
you will have no problem!
