I liked this boy, but he sent me an e-mail saying he doesn’t
like me. His letter was mean, rude and hurtful. I told his parents, and they
had a long talk with him. He called to apologize. I forgave him, but I still
feel angry. When I see him, I want to say all sorts of things to him. He can’t
even look at me.
Dear Not Sure What To Say,
You told his parents?! Usually girls don’t involve other
kids’ parents unless a situation feels frightening or dangerous. But it sounds
as if he has learned that his actions were stupid and immature. Since he has
already apologized, move on and let it go. Not easy. But get busy with friends,
sports, activities and maybe even a new crush. Since he showed you his
insensitive side, you don’t have to waste any more time crushing on him. That
spell is broken, so set yourself free.
