Calling
all Gleeks! On
Nov. 15, Glee
will be showcasing our fave 1950s musical,
Grease. But you can get a peek at the excitement with
Glee:
The Music Presents Glease soundtrack, which drops today!
With
a contemporary spin, Glee does
justice in its tribute to the timeless love story that generations are bound to
appreciate. We took a listen to the full soundtrack and here’s what we think:
“Hopelessly
Devoted To You”
Those
hopelessly devoted to Blaine will fall even more head over heels after hearing
this solo about love and heartbreak. The charming melody and relatable lyrics
are sure to leave you lovesick.
“Born To Hand
Jive”
Turn
up the volume and practice those moves—there’s sure to be a great dance number
featuring the whole Glee cast for
this upbeat song.
“Greased
Lightning”
If
you’re not already getting your groove on, this Glease staple song will get
your feet tapping and head bobbing. Go ahead, we dare you to stay still through
this number.
“Look At Me
I'm Sandra Dee”
This
sweet and edgy track takes us to sleepover silliness with Glee gals Kitty, Sugar, Brittany, Tina and Unique. Put on your PJs
and join the fun by belting out this tune with your besties.
“Beauty School
Drop Out”
Blaine’s
gorgeous voice is highlighted by dazzling background vocals in this vintage-y
jam. With lines that make us laugh and lyrics that repeat “go back to high
school,” this tune is sure to make you smile.
“Look At Me
I'm Sandra Dee (Reprise)”
Marley
gets a solo in this soft—but powerful—song about kicking insecurity to the
curb. Her voice reigns strong throughout the short ballad that pledges a new
start.
“There Are
Worse Things I Can Do”
Kate
Hudson’s character, Cassandra, returns to lend her vocals along with Santana
and Unique, who take turns showcasing their voices in this bad girl tune.
“You're The
One That I Want”
This
upbeat favorite just screams karaoke with the gang. You’ll love Glee’s go at this!
“Summer
Nights”
The
Glee gang gets into “Summer Nights”
nostalgia about a beach-time romance. It boasts those fave summer nights with
conflicting stories that make this song a he said/she said classic.
Be
sure to check out Glee: The Music
Presents Glease soundtrack now and then tune in to the special Glease
episode next Thursday, Nov. 15, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on FOX.
