Spunky 9-year-old Sam Gordon is an avid athlete. Her dad
started her off playing soccer, and when her teammates and cousins would play
dirty in when they practiced, she would give as good as she got.
So her dad hardly blinked an eye when Sam wanted to go play
football after her brother joined a local tackle league, Yahoo! Sports reports.
One year later, she’s beating the boys at their own game. She’s become to
league’s leading scorer, and her coach says that while she can take a tackle
with the best of them, she’s also showing the play-following abilities of a
college tailback.
While you can’t argue that Sam is great at the game,
naysayers are starting to wonder how appropriate her inclusion on the roster
really is. After all, this speedy grammar school student clocks in at just 60
pounds, and plays against boys who weigh more than twice that.
What do YOU think, babes? Should Sam be allowed to play with
the boys?
