My best friend and
I like the same guy. I think he might want to go out with me, but I
don’t want to hurt my best friend.
I’m glad your crush might like you back and that you’re sensitive to your BFF’s feelings. Make sure that you give a lot of thought as to whether going out with him is work risking your relationship with your friend. To ease the awkward situation, you could say to her, “Let’s make a pact that whatever happens, it won’t mess up our friendship.” And if you end up with him? It’s okay to talk about phone calls or going out, but not okay to give her the play-by-play or say he’s a great kisser. And make sure that you spend time with her without him.
