With groups numbering dozens of adolescents to hundreds, police are left trying to figure out exactly what they can do to keep public places safe. At the Florida State Fair, officers had to stand down after teens began to fight back and assault members of the force who were trying to corral the running mob.
While some participants might think it to be harmless fun
along the lines of flash mobs, thieving, injuries and yes, even death, often
occur. This isn’t just a bunch of people having a blast.
