Last-minute spring dance hairstyles

Time’s running out! With your spring fling dance right around the corner, you’ll def need a cute, head-turning ’do. These four celeb-inspired hairstyles are wayy glam and super simple (and did we mention quick?). You’ll be bound to stand out on the dance floor!

Super sleek high pony: Emma Roberts’ polished updo is the perfect accessory for your spring dance wardrobe. To start, straighten your strands to make sure they’re frizz-free (try a smoothing serum to make your hair shine like Emma’s!). Next, pull your hair back to the crown of your head and secure it with an elastic. Grab a 1-inch section of hair from the bottom of your pony and loop it around the elastic to hide it. Secure with a bobby pin, or tuck back into the elastic if possible. Finish with a quick hit of hairspray to tame any flyaways. Mega-glam!

Half-up with loose waves: If you have long-ish hair or bangs, Ashley Greene’s fashion-forward look will totally suit you. After hair is dry, take 2-inch sections at a time and use a 2-inch-barreled curling iron to get loose, messy waves. (Our trick: Don’t use the iron’s clamp—simply wrap hair until heated through, then pull iron out.) Hit waves with hairspray and loosen with fingers. Next, pull the top section of your hair back, leaving out your bangs, and secure your strands with an elastic (or try a sparkly barrette!). To get Ashley’s major volume, gently tease your hair at the crown of your head and smooth back.

Messy bun with face-framing curls: To rock this look like Vanessa Hudgens, don’t worry about styling your hair before-hand – letting your locks air-dry is better to achieve this style. (Hint: If you have super-straight tresses, set hair in small hot rollers or use a curling iron to add some waves—see above!). With dry hair, gather it all into a high, messy bun, using several bobby-pins to keep strands in place. Loosen the hair at your scalp with your fingers to get that I-didn’t-try-that-hard look. Pull out a couple of strands around your face, and touch them up with the curling iron if necessary. We love this with a one-shouldered frock, so romantic!

Razor-Straight and Shiny: Jena Malone looks so cute with this super-glossy bob, but you can wear this style no matter how long or short your locks are. What’s even better is how easy this ‘do is: all you need to do is use a flatiron on your strands (make sure to do this even if you already have straight hair for an extra glam look!). To make your hair really shiny, add a dollop of shine serum or Moroccan oil to give ya extra polish. Add wow-worthy earrings.
