Get beautiful on the beach!

Got your beach get-up ready for your weekend getaway? Not so fast! Even with a cute bikini on, it’s pretty hard to look adorbs at the beach…sandy hair, sunburn fiascos and uneven tan lines are only a few of many beach dilemmas. Babes, it’s time to get beautiful on the beach with this our beach day beauty kit!

Put the wave back into your hair

Here’s the situation: After an amazing beach day, the sun can cause hair color to fade and strands to dry out. And if you’re a gal who likes dipping in and out of the waves, the salty waters can do major damage to tresses. Try spritzing in a leave-in conditioner before you hit the sand, and braid your bangs back and tie hair up in a bun. A leave-in product protects your hair from the sun, and it even creates soft, smooth and manageable waves during and after your beach day.

Ooh, burn!

The sun is also dangerous for your skin so make sure to apply sunscreen frequently during your beach day! A sport sunblock should stay put between games of beach volleyball and wave jumping. Our trick? Mix in a smidge of shimmery lotion so you’re bound to glow all day long!

No-fail nails

Why not treat your nails while lying seaside? Try pushing your cuticles back to keep nails looking trim and neat. Pack The Body Shop’s Almond Nail & Cuticle Oil. The oil in this pen softens cuticles while the pen cap can be used to gently push those cuticles back.

Get sandy

Did you know that you could use beach sand to exfoliate your skin? Exfoliating helps remove dead skin from the body’s surface to reveal the beautiful new skin underneath. The next time you’re at the beach, try rubbing some wet sand onto your legs for a quick skin fix (we recommend doing this in a fancy yoga pose)! Rough, calloused feet? Bring your beach chair (and maybe a fun summer read) close to the waves, sit down, and gently rub your feet on the surface of the wet sand. Easy pedi for practically peanuts! Helpful fact: Many ladies even claim that sand exfoliation banishes cellulite (those lumps and bumps on your thighs)!

Cool down

If you’re suffering from sunburn, dryness and peeling after a beach day, pick up an after-sun formula with aloe. This non-greasy lotion moisturizes and hydrates skin--which also keeps your tan looking great.
