DIY lip scrubs we heart


Don’t leave your lips behind in the cold—show them some love with these yummy, exfoliating DIY lip scrubs. Whether your handy lip balm just isn’t cutting it anymore or the cold months have your lips out-of-control chapped, these scrubs are a perfect way to achieve a smooth and buttery pout. Whip your pucker into shape with these effective (and 100% edible!) lip scrubs. 

Psst: If you heart these lip scrubs, you can easily turn them into body scrubs by doubling or tripling the measurements in ratio.

    Honey + brown sugar scrub

    This yummy scrub will also send you on a sweet sugar high. Better yet, you can find all these ingredients in your own kitchen cabinets. The brown and white sugar will exfoliate the lips while the olive oil and honey seal in the moisture. Go, teamwork!


    • 1 tsp. brown sugar
    • 1 tsp. white sugar
    • 1 tsp. honey
    • ½ tsp. olive oil


    1. In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together.

    2. Massage the scrub on lips for 20 seconds and wipe off for an instantly smoother pout.

    3. Try this scrub 2x a week until you’re satisfied.

    Mint chocolate sugar scrub

    This super simple, all-natural scrub will leave lips feeling smooth and revived. And the delicious taste of mint and chocolate doesn’t hurt, either. This scrub will keep you licking your lips long after you’ve washed it away.


    • 3 tbsp. cocoa powder
    • 1 ½ cups light brown sugar
    • ½ tbsp. pure peppermint extract
    • 1/3 cups grapeseed oil


    1. Add all ingredients in a mixing bowl and rub into lips for 20 seconds.

    2. Rinse scrub away with warm water and softly pat dry. Use this scrub once a week.

    Coconut sugar scrub

    Coconut oil, meet my friend sugar. These two tasty ingredients combine to form the ultimate exfoliating scrub that are sure to leave lips kissably soft. Coconut oil, like honey, is extremely moisturizing and contains antioxidant properties.


    • 1 tbsps. coconut oil, melted
    • 1 tbsps. white sugar
    • ½ tbsps. honey


    1. Start by combining all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Aim for a thick and grainy texture.

    2. Store the mixture in the fridge for 2-3 weeks.

    3. When it’s ready, massage into the lips for no more then 30 seconds and rinse with water and pat dry.

    4.Try once a week until your lips are nice and smooth.

    Pink grapefruit scrub

    Pink grapefruit screams of summer. Add a little sunshine in the winter with this heavenly smelling and 100% natural scrub. Grapefruit juice energizes the lips, sugar exfoliates and olive oil softens the surface.


    • 1 tbsp. white sugar
    • ½ tbsp. pink grapefruit juice
    • ½ tbsp. olive oil


    1. Combine all three ingredients and mix in a small bowl.

    2. Apply to your pout for no more than 20 seconds and wash away with warm water and pat dry.

    3. After you’re finished, refrigerate the leftovers so it stays fresh.
