GL interns' must-have summer beauty products

It’s summer, which means that in the Girls’ Life office, it's intern-mania! We thought it would be fun to ask a few of the new (and returning) GL girls for their best beauty tips, which beauty products they love and how YOU can get the look.

Name: Megan

Year/school: Incoming sophomore at the University of Florida

Beauty product I can’t live without: "It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product is the best hair product I’ve ever used. My hair never looks too good if I let it air-dry naturally after I shower. But It’s A 10 leaves my hair silky, de-tangled and looking fabulous. It makes styling my hair so much easier and it works great for the days I don’t have time to style before I leave my house. My hair is so much smoother and well-managed because of it’s A 10. I love it!"

Where you can get it: Ulta, $18

Best beauty tip: "Spray It’s A 10 Miracle Leave-In Product in your hair whenever your hair is wet. Whether it be after the shower, at the beach or coming from the pool, it makes your hair so much easier to manage and keeps it looking way better than if it were to dry naturally. It calms my hair down and leaves it looking less frizzy every time."

Name: Deanna

Year/school: Incoming junior at Howard High School

Beauty product I can’t live without: "Bedhead After-Party Smoothing Cream! It smooths my crazy, frizzy hair without weighing it down or making it greasy. It even revives my curls after a long night of tossing and turning."

Where you can get it: Walmart, $17.

Best beauty tip: "Don't overdo it when it comes to hair products. In most cases, a little goes a long way."

Name: Kristina

Year/school: Incoming junior at Elon University

Beauty product I can’t live without: "Mask of Magnaminty-it's a face and a body mask. This is the product that helps me keep the smoothest skin, especially when I have breakouts. The peppermint oil in it really soothes and makes your skin feel clean."

Where you can get it: Lush, $14

Best beauty tip: "Use face and body masks like these right after you get out of the shower so they really can clean out all your pores."

Name: Dylan

Year/school: Incoming freshman at Franklin and Marshall College.

Beauty product I can’t live without: "Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. I love it because it hydrates my face and covers any spots or blemishes."

Where you can get it: Target, $7

Best beauty tip: "When putting the BB cream on, make sure it’s even all over your face. It’s so important to blend it in so there are no streaks."

Name: Julia

Year/school: Incoming junior at University of Michigan

Beauty product I can't live without: "Dior Nude Skin-Glowing Makeup. It's the best foundation I've ever used. It covers up any blemishes, makes my skin tone really even, it doesn't look cakey and it stays on all day—really great quality. Also, NARS Bronzing Powder (my shade is laguna) is the best bronzer I've ever used. It gives me the perfect summery glow all year and adds some really great color to my foundation base."

Where you can get them: Sephora, $50 and Sephora, $40

Beauty tip: "Not happy with your eyebrows after waxing or plucking? Try getting them threaded! It's a lot more accurate and can finally give you the shape you've been trying to get all along."

Name: Molly

Year/school: Incoming freshman at The Catholic University of America.

Beauty product I can’t live without: "Benefit Roller Lash Mascara. It’s my favorite because it looks very natural and doesn’t get all clumpy."

Where you can get it: Ulta, $24

Best beauty tip: "If your face is a different color than your neck because of a spray tan or because of applying a lotion like Jergens, putting bronzer on your neck can even out the skin tone."

Name: Alexis

Year/school: Incoming junior at High Point University

Beauty product I can't live without: "Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil, specifically Dragon Girl. Mostly because Taylor Swift uses it! It’s really nice and it lasts for a long time, and what I especially like about it is that it doesn’t come off on everything (like cups). It’s also super easy to carry around."

Where you can get it: Nars Cosmetics, $26

Best beauty tip: "Wear what makes you feel comfortable. If you don’t want to wear red lipstick or eyeliner, don’t. Make-up is supposed to make you feel good, and if it doesn’t, then it’s not doing what it’s supposed to."

Name: Emily

Year/school: Incoming freshman at Dickinson College.

Beauty product I can’t live without: "Neutrogena’s Pink Grapefruit Acne Wash because it clears any breakouts I have in no time, is gentle on my sensitive skin and smells amazing! Also, you can use it on your face or in the shower."

Where you can get it: Ulta, $10

Best beauty tip: "Wash your face and make-up off before bed. I spent so many years not doing this, and as a result had a lot of breakouts on my face. Even though it takes an extra five minutes, it’s worth it and you’ll wake up feeling refreshed."

Name: Chloe

Year/school: Incoming sophomore at University of Maryland

Beauty product I can't live without: "Trader Joe’s Organic Virgin Coconut Oil. In terms of hair, it’s really moisturizing, especially if you have dry hair."

Where you can get it: Trader Joe's, $6

Tip: "After a shower, dry your hair with a t-shirt instead of a towel because it helps with frizz, and always remember to wash your hair with cold water for more shine."

Name: Vanessa

Year/school: Just graduated from Towson University.

Beauty product I can’t live without: "The Nyx Soft Matte Lip Creams because they're inexpensive and really good quality. I like that the color on the exterior of the bottle is true to what actually goes on your face."

Where you can get it: Nyx Cosmetics, $6

Best beauty tip: "Take your make-up off before bed and don’t worry about what other people think when it comes to your look. You should be able to rock any lip color you want. If you want to wear blue lipstick, go for it."

Name: Maria

Year/school: Incoming freshman at University of Maryland

Beauty product I can’t live without: "Maybelline Colossal Mascara. I love it because it’s a cheap buy with a high-end quality feel—and it lasts all day. It also doesn’t run out quickly and helps to lengthen my lashes."

Where you can get it: Target, $5

Best beauty tip: "Always wear something with SPF in it. It’s so important to protect yourself from the sun."
