Bargain hunting tips for Black Friday

Fashion, meet finance. Is your killer wardrobe actually killing your wallet? Before you hit the stores bright and early this Black Friday, read up on our bargain hunting dos and don’ts.

Do: Shop around!

So you see a gotta-have-it tote in your fave shop, but the price tag promises you’ll never bring it home. Relax, doll chances are this is NOT the only make and model. Browse other stores (or search around online!) before you slap down the cash on the priciest version.

Don’t: Be afraid of the clearance rack

Just because it says 50% off doesn’t mean there aren’t some adorable finds. Now’s the time to stock up on last season’s goodies—think summery shorts and cute tanks you can rock year round. Be patient and scour the clearance collections to nab some seriously sleek castoffs at ultra unbeatable prices.
Don’t: That said, don’t rush into a purchase
Just because something’s marked down doesn’t mean you should fork over your hard-earned cash. They don’t call it buyer’s remorse for nothin’. Our trick? Plan out three ways you can wear that piece before you pay. And check out the return policy. Final sale items generally aren’t a good idea.

Do: Keep an open mind

Don’t judge a garment by the way it looks on the hanger. You never know how fab something is until ya try it on! Grab a spot in line at the fitting room, babe, even if the queue is a mile long. Trust us, it’s worth it.

Don’t: Be scared of thrift shops

Thrift stores always have tonsa amazing deals, not to mention they’re jam-packed with chic vintage finds! Go in with say, $20 and see what you can pick up. You’ll save your dollars and have way more fun than battling crowds at the mall.
