Well that didn’t take very long. According to People.com lovebugs Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal have decided to call it quits and are each starting 2011 off on a single note.

While no reason has been stated for the cause of the break, sources claim the pair spent the holidays apart. Hmmm, wonder if Jakey poo’s kicking himself for dropping $10,000 on that rare guitar he reportedly bought Tay for her birthday, or the $100,000 diamond bracelet?

Now the bigger question is, how long before Tay writes a song about this relationship?
