Allstar Weekend's sneak peek at All The Way

Blame it on September! We’ve already got Allstar Weekend’s new album All The Way on repeat at the GL headquarters. And we know you’ll be doing the same once it releases Sept. 27. Showing a more mature side to the gang, the guys promise this new album is a big step from their first record Suddenly Yours. “It’s got soul, it’s got rock and roll,” Zach tells us.

We asked the boys to dish about some of their fave songs off the 12-track CD that lends the perfect blend of rock, pop and dance. Which are you most excited to hear?

“All The Way” (The band fave)
The sound: A touch of jazz with a smooth flow of vocals
“My favorite instrument is in that song. No other song on the album—or radio—sounds like it.”—Zach

“When I Get Paid” (The most personal)
The sound: A daydreamer’s anthem
“I spent a lot of time in my life where I didn’t [even] have a vehicle. It’s cool to think that, in the future, I might have more money.”—Michael

“James” (The toughest to record)
The sound: Funk-meets-Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl”
“It has a really complicated first base line.”—Cameron

“Do It To Me” (The most relatable)
The sound: Cute ‘n’ catchy lyrics with a beat you’ll want to blast while driving
“It’s a simple song about when you kind of just fall for someone and you do things that are kind of crazy.”—Michael

“Blame It On September” (The hottest single)
The sound: A rainy day slow song
“It’s a time of year when things change. The summer ends, you go back to school. It’s a time when a lot of people are just doing their own thing.”—Zach

Be sure to check out All The Way when it releases Sept. 27. Then come back and let us know your favorite track.
