The song is slightly reminiscent of N*SYNC’s “Girlfriend” (for those of you who are fans of old-school pop music) with the acoustic guitar lines. The verses are almost whispered while the chorus highlights Justin’s amazing voice. And with an R&B edge to the song, the lyrics show off how Justin—and his audience—are maturing with heart-melting lines like “I can be a gentleman, anything you want/ If I was your boyfriend, I’d never let you go.”
This song is sure to have millions of girls fantasizing about having Justin Bieber as their “boyfriend.” It’s smooth, flirty and romantic. Definitely one you’re sure to have stuck in your head for days.
We here at GL are completely in love with the new single and I have personally listened it on repeat for the past hour. It’s making us even more excited for Justin’s new album Believe, set to release later this year.
