If you’re not already pumped for the new season of Big Time Rush, trust us, you will be after reading this! We chatted with BTR star Ciara Bravo, the laid-back sweetheart who plays Kendall’s feisty little sis Katie. Read on for a glimpse at both Ciara’s real life and her life on set.

Name Game

Ciara has secured a few nicknames from the BTR cast and crew these past four seasons, but the most common one? Ci-Ci. “It’s what my friends call me back home, so it’s kind of nice,” she gushed to us. “It’s like my nickname for my family, and they’ve become my family, so I like it.” How sweet.

Sib Sitches

Next, we talked to Ciara about her family, and she was eager to spill the biggest get-along-with-your-sibs trick she swears by. “Just be patient and understanding…and [try to] bond over similar interests and talk about that.” Coming from a girl who has a sister and bro, we think it’s legit.  

Spice Up Your Life

Speaking of sibs, Ciara was quick to spill some adorable childhood stories. One of her favorite pastimes with her older sis? “[My sister] would have her friends over and we would pretend to be the Spice Girls. She would always give me Baby Spice because I was the youngest!”

Main Tease

So it’s clear Ciara’s tight with her fam, but what about her relationship with on-screen bro, Kendall Schmidt? Like…what if he was her older brother in real life? “I would probably just tease him about what I tease my brother and my sister about right now, like [when] they say something stupid,” she immediately responded. Hey, sounds fair enough to us.

Fresh Clips

What can we expect from the new season of BTR, premiering tonight on Nickelodeon? “There are so many awesome guest stars, like Cher Lloyd. Also, Katie starts a new little business, basically making money any way she can. It’s classic Big Time Rush with some new storylines, awesome guest stars, and the shenanigans we always have,” Ciara told us. Sounds like we’re all in for quite a season.
