The biggest OMG celeb moments of the week

The school year is about to begin and we’re soaking up as much summer as we can! This past week has been full of exciting news from all of our fave celebs in Hollywood. Who’s no longer friends with who and which cuties made a super special surprise appearance? Read on for the latest OMG celeb moments of the week.

Shake It Off

All eyes were on Taylor Swift during her Yahoo! Live stream chat this week. Our August/September cover girl had some huge announcements to make and we couldn’t wait to hear all about her new album! During the chat, she revealed the album, 1989, would be her first solo pop record and then dropped a new single: “Shake It Off.” Not only did Tay release the song, but she accompanied it with a hilarious music video. The live stream made us even more excited for the album’s release on October 27. But to hold you over ’til then, check out her new music video below.

BFF Breakup?

Everyone knows that once upon a time, Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez were insperable BFFs. It seemed that no matter what happened, they stuck together. And while the pair hadn’t been seen together recently, we were shocked to hear that Demi had unfollowed Sel on Twitter. When Demi recently appeared on Watch What Happens Live!, the singer was asked about the falling out—and she responded with grace and honesty. “I think it’s just one of those things where people change and people grow apart,” Demi answered. We’re sad to hear that these BFFs are no more, but we love how they’re handling the sitch maturely. Although we are sad to hear about these no longer BFF’s, we love that they are handling it maturely.

A New Film

It’s no secret that Ansel Elgort is currently Hollywood’s biggest breakout star. He made his name known in Divergent and the whole world fell in love with him in The Fault in Our Stars. Now Ansel’s proving to us that he’s here to stay. When the cutie stopped by Good Morning America this week, we learned that his upcoming film Men, Women & Children focuses on what impact technology has had relationships and friendships. This drama features hard-hitting truths like eating disorders, the want for fame and how you can never fully know someone through the Internet. We can’t wait to find out more about this film and are pumped to see Ansel in a completely different role.

Debby’s Big Debut

When we found out that Jessie had been renewed for another season, we couldn’t contain our excitement. There have been tons of hints about what this new seasons holds—especially as Jessie becomes the first Disney character to get married! We have no doubt that the new episodes are going to showcase the cast’s talent, but we also just learned that star Debby Ryan is just as skilled behind the camera. TVLine revealed this week that Debby is making her directorial debut with tonight’s episode “Coffee Talk,” marking her as the youngest female ever to do so on a Disney Channel project. The star claimed that it was the “most fulfilling thing” she’s ever done. We can’t wait to see how it turned out. Don’t forget to watch it tonight at 8 p.m. on Disney Channel.

A Perfect Celebration

GL’s Back-to-School Fashion Bash was this week and it quickly became the best day of the summer. With amazing performances from Kristina Lachaga, Tiffany Houghton, Cailee Rae and Bea Miller, we were dancing and singing all day long! The fashion show, which featured tons of amazing back-to-school inspo and was MC’d by Lab Rats’ Kelli Berglund was an amazing way to end the day. While it’s hard to choose a fave moment of the event, we loved that we we’re able to pull of the biggest surprises of the day: The Vamps! The screams of hundreds of girls that welcomed the British boy band as they made their way to the red carpet and on to the stage was incredible. Fash Bash was over way too quickly and we couldn’t have had more fun—even if we wanted to. If you missed out on all of the excitement, check out the recap HERE.
