Vanessa Marano dishes on her onscreen and offscreen sisters

Vanessa Marano is one of our favorite sisters on TV in her show Switched at Birth, where she and Katie Leclerc play two girls with some complicated family history. Vanessa's one of the coolest sisters around in real life, too (you can check out Vanessa's lil sis Laura Marano on the cover of our Feb/March issue!). In a recent interview, Vanessa dished on her relationship with both sisters (onscreen and off) – check out what she had to say.

Though Bay and Daphne's relationship is going through a rough patch right now, Vanessa and Katie are better than ever.

"We're kind of obnoxiously close," Vanessa said, "in a way that I feel like a lot of people tolerate. Maybe enjoy a little bit, but basically tolerate. There've been times when we're just saying things in unison and it's like, 'Okay, you both are gross now.'"

On baby sister Laura, Vanessa says she maybe hasn't always big the best big sis.

"I was probably an awful big sister in the beginning of our lives together. I used to make her sign contracts that she was my slave and that she had to do things for me and, in return, I would love her. That's literally what the contract said. And she did it! Because she's the nicest person in the world. Poor kid."

What do you think of Vanessa's sibling relationships, real and fake? Do you have similar relationships with your sibs? Tell us in the comments.
