Listen to the new Cinderella theme song "Strong"

 
Can't wait for the new Cinderella? With the movie coming out this Friday (!!!), we're counting down the hours, and we're so excited to share every little bit of news we can get our hands on. Earlier today, we heard the new theme song "Strong" for the first time and can we just say that it's totally appropro?

The song is performed by the English singer-songwriter Sonna Rele, who was handpicked by director Kenneth Branagh himself. "The song is really about personal strength, belief in yourself and the importance of having courage and kindness in your heart," Sonna told fans. "It's a beautiful song that embodies the core values of the movie and I feel very proud to be a part of it."  

The message is totally reflective of what star Lily James said herself just last week. "A lot of people think [fairytles and princesses are] not great role models for kids: aspiring toward just marriage or a man... but I feel like in the film we try to focus on a message of strength and kindness as a way to live your life." Check out the song below.
