The biggest OMG celeb moments of the week

So much has happened this week that we’re not even sure what news has us the most excited. With old friends, new projects and a remake of one our favorite movies, how could we choose? So which BFFs teamed up to make something incredible, and who is joining an all-star cast? Read on to get the 411 on all your favorite celebs.

Safehouse Records

If you have been on any social media at all then you know about Safehouse Records, the record label that Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas teamed up to create. The long-time BFFs plan on taking in new talent and giving them full control of their career while allowing them access to the best tools possible. Demi is also planning on releasing her fifth studio album through her own record label for her own creative control. We are so excited to see what kind of music Safehouse Records creates and the amazing new singers and artists Demi and Nick discover.

Mental Health

Demi is making headlines twice this week, once for her career and once for her activism for mental health awareness. Demi is incredibly open about her past struggles with her own bipolar disorder and how she has been able to manage it, and now she is launching her own mental health campaign "Be Vocal: Speak Up for Mental Health" with the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Demi is focusing on bringing awareness to all forms of mental illness and speaking about her own experiences, too. We are in awe of how honest and open Demi is for the sake of helping the thousands of others who need help that they are not receiving. R5 Has Bad Blood

In honor of their upcoming album release and the mega attention that the "Bad Blood" music video has gotten, R5's Ellington Ratliff shared a parody tribute to the Taylor Swift video. With their hit song "Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight" as the theme, each of the band members is given a new code name a la T. Swift—and they’re pretty hysterical. From Riker as "The Enforcer" to dog Buddy as "Fluff the Magic Dragon," this vid is full of R5 inside jokes that we wish we knew.

Keke Goes Grease

Grease: Live is the new highly anticipated live-action musical being produced by Fox, and with Julianne Hough cast as Sandy and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizo, we didn’t think the cast could get any better. But then it did: Keke Palmer is joining the cast as Marty, one of the Pink Ladies who befriends Sandy when she moves to Rydel High School. Keke proved once and for all that she could sing when she became the lead in Rodger and Hammerstein’s Cinderella on Broadway, so we know she'll rock the role. We are so excited to see the final product when it air on January 31, 2016.

Tony BFFs

When we first found out that Vanessa Hudgens was going to be performing live during The Tony Awards on June 7th with the rest of the cast of her Broadway show Gigi, we couldn’t contain our excitement! Now, we know for sure that this award show can’t be missed because it was just announced that Ashley Tisdale will be presenting one of the awards. Ashley is joining stars like Bradley Cooper and Amanda Seyfried who will be taking the stage to present some of the biggest awards of the night! Vanessa and Ashley have been BFF’s ever since their careers sky-rocketed from the High School Musical movies. Seeing these girls together again is going to be so sweet, and we know that they’re going to look oh-so fabulous. Tune into The Tony Awards on June 7th at 8pm on CBS!
