Rocker Ryan Adams covered Taylor Swift's 1989 (and it's everything)

When the news broke last month that musician (and many-time Grammy nominee) Ryan Adams was recording covers of Taylor Swift's hit songs from her album 1989, Taylor, an Adams-fan, basically lost her mind. Now that we've heard the album, we totally get why.

It all started when Ryan shared an Instagram pic of him playing some music—and captioned it, "Taylor Swift 1989 full album cover night 1." By the time news made it's way to Twitter, Taylor was already freaking out.

A long-time fan, Taylor counts Ryan as an influence on her own music, and though we can't imagine that anyone could top Taylor at her own game, these songs are pretty incredible. They all sound totally different from the original versions in the most amazing way. Check out "Blank Space" for starters.

"It wasn't like I wanted to change them because they needed changing," Ryan told Rolling Stone. "But I knew that if I sang them from my perspective and in my voice, they would transform."

Well, they definitely did, and they're basically mind-blowing. They only just debuted yesterday, and we've probably listened to the whole album a couple of times through already. And it's clear that Taylor herself is a fan. She even kept a countdown to the album's release:

Are you loving these 1989 covers? Which one is your favorite?
