We could not be prouder of Zendaya as she has landed her first-ever Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role in HBO's Euphoria! Fans have been rooting for Zendaya since her Disney days on Shake It Up and K.C Undercover. Although Euphoria was a major character change for her given the show is a lot darker and dramatic than Disney, Zendaya definitely impressed us all with how well she adjusted to her role as Rue and the edgy, lustful content that surrounds the high schoolers in the show.

Zendaya put out a long Instagram post thanking Television Academy for the nomination. In this post, Zendaya said, "I'm honestly speechless, my heart is just overflowing with love and gratitude. I'm so incredibly honored to work beside the talented people that I get to call family. I am a small piece of a big beautiful puzzle and I'm so proud of all of you. Thank you to everyone out there who's watched and given our show life, thank you, Sam Levinson, HBO and A24 for everything and Television Academy for this beautiful acknowledgment, thank you, thank you, thank you. We out here Emmy nominated y'all!!"

This year the Emmy awards will be held on September 20 on ABC, hosted by the one and only Jimmy Kimmel. Don't forget to watch, and put on your best Euphoria makeup look in support of our girl, Zendaya!
