Jessie makes fun of...food allergies? Hmm.

We love us some Jessie--I mean, with Debby Ryan, Peyton List and the rest of the crew, how could you not? But when we heard the latest news from Disney HQ, we were a little, well, miffed, shall we say.

Apparently a new episode of Jessie titled "Quitting Cold Koala" introduced a new sitting charge, a child named Stuart who has a laundry list of food allergies, including a gluten intolerance. Instead of embracing the opportunity to educate their audience about advocating for children with food allergies, Disney and company used it as a joke: One character chucked a flour-filled pancake at Stuart, who then frantically yelled, "Gluten!"

Naturally, parents of children with real-life gluten intolerance and Celiac Disease (and the children themselves, we imagine) were outraged, Parentdish reports. They took to the Internet and launched a petition on Change.org, as they did with Merida's makeover, and demanded that Disney pull the episode and stop bullying children with gluten intolerance and any other diseases and disorders.

And guess what? That's just what Disney did.

Now it's your turn: Have you seen bullying situations like this happen on other TV shows? Do you think it's OK, or should we do something to stop it?
