This fall, NYC is launching a public health campaign that aims to boost girls’ self-esteem and body image through ads and brief videos. The campaign features 21 real girls of different races, shapes and sizes who are just doing their thing. The message? “I’m a real girl, and I’m beautiful the way I am.”

And ya know what? It’s so true. The girls in the ads proclaim the things that make them amazing: “I’m a leader, adventurous, outgoing, sporty, unique, smart and strong.” And “I’m funny, playful, daring, strong, curious, smart, brave, healthy, friendly and caring.” And: “I’m clever, adventurous, outgoing, unique, smart and strong.”
