Feel Good Friday: Teen with cancer gets a dream celeb stylist makeover for prom

Every girl dreams of a perfect prom night, including Hannah Tate, an 18-year-old from Alcoa, Tennessee.

Hannah has been battling a rare form of kidney cancer since November, causing her to miss out on most of her senior year of high school—and lose all of her hair due to chemotherapy.  She’s spent 15 weeks in the hospital, only able to come home two or three times. Despite this, she stayed positive hoping she would be able to make it to her senior prom.

“I was scared prom just wouldn’t work out,” Hannah told Yahoo. “But my doctors did everything they could to get me out for it because they knew it meant a lot to me.”

She reached out to Tokyo Stylez, a celebrity hair stylist who works with celebs like Rihanna, asking him if he could send her a wig to wear for prom.

When Hannah didn’t get a response from the celeb stylist, she shrugged it off. Little did Hannah know, Stylez had been in contact with her mom and was planning a huge surprise for her! A couple of hours before prom, Stylez showed up on Hannah’s doorstep with a brand new wig—and a WHOLE styling team.

They gave Hannah a complete celebrity makeover, which made her look and feel like a movie star.

“I don’t think you can top my prom,” she told Yahoo. “It was just everything.”
