Malia Obama just did the coolest thing

Malia Obama has had seriously cool internships in the past—like her work on the set of HBO's series Girls—but this one might just take the cake.

President Obama has already made strides to bridge relationships between the United States and Cuba, but recently he became the first president to visit the country in over 80 years—and he took his family with him.

While there, Malia took the opportunity to step up to the plate and try out a new job, this time as as translator to the POTUS.

Sure, the president is her pops, but it's still pretty cool that Malia was able to show off her serious Spanish skills as she helped her dad communicate with people in Cuba. Check out the pic above that White House photographer Pete Souza snapped of the father-daughter duo chatting with a chef in a restaurant.

"The President and Malia share a laugh as Malia translates Spanish to English for her dad at a restaurant in Old Havana," the photographer captioned the shot.

How awesome is that? We can't think of a better way to practice a new language than helping a world leader explore new cultures and histories.

What's the coolest job you've ever had?
