Watch Next X

We just got back from catching some of the Winter X Games 15 and, boy, did we have a blast! Still on an adrenaline kick, we wanted to share some deets on the next installment of Disney XD’s Winter Next X, part of the Next X series of sports reality shows developed in association with ESPN, which premieres today at 4 p.m. ET/PT.
Watch as pro snowboarder Danny Kass and pro skier Sarah Burke take on the challenge of training Birk, Nik, Sasha, and Redmond, four extremely talented teen amateurs. They’ll be mastering new tricks and skills but, in the end, only one will become the Winter Next X.
So what kind of competition are we looking at exactly? Let’s meet these kids and look at some of their highlights.

Birk Irving – Skier
Age: 11
Accomplishments: First place inner of the Halfpipe and 2nd in the Slopestyle competition at the 2010 USASA National Championships.

Nik Baden – Snowboarder
Age: 13 years old
Accomplishments: He’s the USASA Menehune Boys Overall National Champion for 2010.

Sasha Johnstone – Skier
Age: 12
Accomplishments: Winner of the Halfpipe competition at the 2010 Jackson Hole USASA competition.

Redmond Gerard – Snowboarder
Age: 10
Accomplishments: First place in the 2010 Red Bull Buttercup rail event.

You’ll be able to follow these teens’ progress throughout the week with new mini episodes premiering daily. Then, be sure to tune in Monday, February 7, at 9 p.m. to see who will go home with the title—and the opportunity of a lifetime to show it all off at the Winter X Games 15!
