GL's Top 10 favorite past Project Runway contestants

Make it work, people! Project Runway’s 10th Anniversary Season is premiering this Thursday, July 19, with 16 new designers. Are you excited?!

These contestants will be competing for the prize package of $100,000 to start their own line, a Marie Claire fashion spread, a 2013 Lexus GS 350, a $50,000 technology suite, and an opportunity to design and sell an exclusive collection at Lord & Taylor. That’s quite the grand prize, so we can’t wait to watch them battle it out!

In preparation for season 10, we’re taking a look back at 10 of our favorite contestants from Project Runway’s past. Which is your fave?

Christian Siriano – There’s no better way to describe this season 4 winner other than his famous catchphrase word: Fierce!

Uli – We loved how her cool, relaxed vibe was shown by her choices of light, flowy fabrics. We could easily wear some of her maxi dresses to the beach!

Mondo Guerra – This self-taught designer may not have won over the judges in season 8, but we were blown away by his bold designs.

Chris March – With his quirky, upbeat personality and hilarious giggle, Chris was the most hilarious season 4 contestant.

Laura Bennett – True, she may have been stuck up and tight, but her style was simply classic.

Jay McCarroll – He was the life of the party, and his funky styles totally matched his outgoing personality.

Kenley Collins – She may look like a sweetie but she could deliver some pretty nasty quips. Regardless, the Zooey Deschanel lookalike stood out to us.

Anya Ayoung Chee – We were super impressed with the quick thinking and creative designs of this season 9 winner and fan favorite, especially since she just learned to sew a few months before the show!

Jay Nicolas Sario – He only placed 4th in season 7, but we were stunned by his fashion-forward pieces.

Mychael Knight – We loved how he incorporated his hip hop background into his designs.

Be sure to tune in to a new season of Project Runway July 19 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Lifetime.
