We're crazy for Boys Like Girls' new album

Remember that popular radio hit from a few years ago, “Two is Better Than One,” where T-Swift joined up with Boys Like Girls? Well it seems like the sweet singer’s country influence rubbed off on the pop rock band.

On their new album, Crazy World, the boys break from the fast-paced (and sometimes electronic-obsessed) sounds of today and focus on being honest and meaningful in their new songs. And that comes with some good old country twang.

“Shoot,” a song about leaving behind all worries and chores to focus on doing something for yourself, is probably the track where the country influence is the most obvious. There’s a definite country sound, and we sure like it.

Crazy World has quite a number of slow songs, including “Stuck in the Middle,” “Leaving California,” and the first single “Be Your Everything,” a romantic track that’s sure to become your next school dance’s ‘slow song.’

“Life of the Party” is definitely the most fun and upbeat of the songs on this album. We’re talking toe-tapping, make-ya-wanna-move kind of music. Boys Like Girls make sure to emphasize the importance in making the most of the moment and having fun and living life.

The title track, “Crazy World,” is a light and sweet love song with cheerful whistling and finger snaps (and even a harmonica!). It embodies all that this new album is about: Taking time to slow down in this crazy, busy world and just enjoy the simple things about love, like holding hands on a porch swing.

Crazy World is a step in a new direction for Boys Like Girls and totally shows them expanding as artists and learning how to express themselves through music. Be sure to grab your own copy (available in stores TODAY!). Then come back and share your favorite track.
