We’re loving the trend that’s been popping up lately, where
artists release a lyric video before a music video. Sometimes, we even like it
more than the music video itself. We hate having to rely on homemade YouTube vids
anytime we want to get to know the lyrics of our new fave tune so we can sing
along in the car.
That’s why we’re oh-so-thankful for all of the professional
lyric videos artists have been releasing. Not only can we memorize lyrics, but
they’re also super fun to watch! Read on to see the current ones topping our
“Skyfall” by Adele
We love the murky and mysterious vibe of this lyric video.
It’s the perfect way to get to know the lyrics, not to mention, who doesn’t
love listening to Adele’s voice?
“Ghost” by Ingrid
This lyric vid is especially sweet because of the unique way
Ingrid presents the words. We don’t want to spoil it for you, so just watch for
“Hung Up” by Hot
The cool thing about this vid is that it’s almost like a music
video itself, seeing as there are clips playing behind the lyrics that flash
across the screen.
“Sorry” by Ciara
Ciara decided to experiment with several different
techniques, and they’re all so fun to watch. Our fave? When she has a
typewriter spell out the lyrics.
“Right Here” by
We’ve been digging the Biebs and his more mature musical
sound recently—and this one is our current obsession. Justin used some really
cool claymation techniques while still keeping his laidback vibe.
We find this lyrics video super relaxing. The point of view
is from the front of a car driving through the countryside, city streets and
other beautiful surroundings.
Which lyric video is your favorite at the moment and why?
Blog about it, babes.
